Close Encounters with a Green Snake

Commonly called a green snake or grass snake, we spotted this North American Rough Green Snake in Central Texas. These Rough Green Snakes' food sources are near creeks and ponds. They are not venomous and somewhat docile. I'm sure anyone who hates snakes doesn't care!! They eat their prey whole, unlike other snakes that constrict.
